Here at Random42 Scientific Communication we are continually expanding and enhancing our hardworking team, who all play a crucial role in the running and development of the company.

We would like to introduce Random42’s newest recruits, who have joined us at different times over the past few months.

Panashe Micah Ngowera – 3D Artist

BA (Hons) Animation for Film and Games – University of Hertfordshire

Pan joined the Random42 team at the start of May. He studied Animation for Film and Games at The University of Hertfordshire, where he also coached gymnastics and was involved in the music society. Before starting work here at Random42, Pan was freelancing in graphic design and 3D animating/modelling. In his spare time, he enjoys doing an array of activities such as going to the gym, gymnastics, playing instruments, photography, personal projects and planning world domination! Just as per your average Joe.

Harriet Oddy – Account Executive

BSc (Hons) Biomedical Sciences – University College London

Harriet has been an Account Executive in our Marketing team since April this year.  She graduated from University College London, where she studied Biomedical Science, having a particular interest in physiology, pharmacology and neuroscience.  After graduating, Harriet spent six months working in the Pathology Department at St George’s Hospital in Tooting, before moving to Random42.  Outside of work, Harriet enjoys running, has a passion for floral patterns and makes good use of the opportunities that living and working in London has to offer.

Jiri Balasek – 3D Artist

Electrotechnical Computer Systems – SPSE Havirov

Jiri is originally from the Czech Republic, but has now lived in the UK for eight years. He studied Electrotechnical Computer Systems in Havirov, Czech Republic, but later fell in love with 3D modelling and animation. Before working for Random42, Jiri was working as a freelance 3D Generalist. He has a big family back in the Czech Republic and loves to visit with his fiancée, especially to see his younger brother. Jiri loves all the good stuff, like great music, tasty food and holidays in sunny countries. He also likes Thai boxing, hockey and squash.

Lara Sanders – Scientific Account Director

BSc (Hons) Molecular and Cell Biology – University of Kent
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Cell Biology – University of Kent

Lara has just completed a PhD in Cell Biology, investigating platinum chemotherapy mode of action and resistance in cancer, at the University of Kent. Previous to this, she was a research and development scientist for 15 years across a variety of therapeutic areas in both diagnostics and pharmaceutical industries. Out of work Lara enjoys art, music, food and gardening, a lot of which is enjoyed with her seven-year old daughter, with whom she lives with in Canterbury, Kent.

Bola Ogunjobi – 3D Artist

BSc (Hons) Visual Effects and Motion Graphics – Brunel University London

Bola is also a new addition to our team, he studied Visual Effects and Motion Graphics at Brunel University London. He was born in Nigeria, but has lived in the UK since he was a child. Bola’s interests include watching movies, especially Science Fiction with dystopian elements, gaming, photography and music. These interests also serve as inspiration for personal art projects that he works on in his spare time.

Leah Zard – Account Executive

BSc (Hons) Zoology – University of Leeds

Leah joined us back in March after moving down to London from Newcastle. She is originally from a small town in rural Northumberland near Hadrian’s Wall. Leah studied Zoology at the University of Leeds, which she enjoyed, describing the course as ‘both fun and interesting’. Outside of work Leah likes baking, eating out, horse riding, yoga and travelling.

Tristan Garcia – 3D Artist

BSc (Hons) 3D Animation – Bellecour Ecole Lyon

Tristan is our most recent recruit, he is from France, where he has lived all his life, until now. He graduated in 3D Animation and has a professional background of two years with a studio based in Lyon, however, this year, at the age of 27 he decided to leave France to come to England to join his girlfriend and find a job to really kickstart his 3D career! Tristan has a passion for the 3D world, stating ‘every day since working in 3D, is not a working day at all’, he loves what he does and wants to learn more. In his spare time, he loves to explore things in 3D and work on personal projects. Tristan is also a gamer and enjoys discovering new places, walking and photography.
