Katie completed her PhD at the University of Sheffield. Her research focused on the surface display of proteins and virulence factors of Staphylococcus aureus and MRSA. While studying, Katie developed skills in a wide range of bacterial molecular cloning techniques, fluorescence microscopy, and dreaded Western blots. She finished her PhD shortly before joining Random42 as part of the science team, where she writes scripts and develops storyboards for production. At Random42, Katie combines her scientific background with her creative side and applies her knowledge across a broad range of therapeutic areas. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and attending festivals, as well as exploring the bars and restaurants that London has to offer.
