About the job
Random42 is looking for a Senior Unity Developer with a solid understanding of programming and proven production experience to join our team and help us build scientific interactive experiences. The job will consist of:
- Developing software using the Unity engine, mostly creating real-time VR/MR experiences for current and next-gen headsets (Quest 3, Vision Pro) with the occasional touchscreen-based / mobile application
- Coordinating with our science department to ensure that everything that happens on screen is scientifically accurate
- Working alongside project managers to deliver projects on time and according to requirements and keep projects in scope
- Working alongside lead developers to manage a small team and supervise work accordingly
Essential requirements
- Demonstrable experience in Unity & C# development
- Familiarity with architectural patterns applicable to Unity
- Knowledge of real-time shaders development (HLSL/Shadergraph) and URP
- Experience in managing and delivering projects in a production environment
- Able to write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code; experience using Git version control in a team
Great to have
- Artistic eye for lighting, colors, and look-dev
- Experience developing for Meta Quest/VR Headsets and Mixed Reality Platforms ie. AR Foundation/Vuforia
- Knowledge of the iOS Development environment (XCode & iOS development & app publishing workflows)
- Understanding of performance optimization strategies
- Understanding and awareness of UX best practices
