Motion Graphics Workshop at Ravensbourne University
Satnam Bansal, Senior Motion Graphics Designer at Random42, delivers Motion Graphics Workshop at Ravensbourne University.
Towards the end of last year, Satnam, one of our senior motion designers delivered a workshop to students from the Ravensbourne University Motion Graphics course, as part of their ‘Professional Life Practice’ module. The course leader, Adrian Baxter, had invited some of the best design studios around London to share their opinions on all things motion graphics.
The talk was used to showcase insights surrounding our work at Random42, Satnam’s creative career, and discuss ways to break into the motion design industry. Satnam was able to share his own experience navigating the industry as a Ravensbourne alumnus.
He also gave a short practical workshop where he demonstrated a few techniques for creating 2D motion graphics with a scientific twist.
Reflecting on the workshop, explore what some of the participants had to say about their experience of the session:
“Satnam’s talk was incredibly informative. He provided us information on how Random42 creates their 2D motion graphics. He also broke down how portfolios can be used in combination with networking to get opportunities. He showcased a variety of creative resources like foundries, creative recruitment firms and online creative hubs like right aligned and school of motion.”
