In certain disease conditions, such as Diabetic Macular Edema and Age-related Macular Degeneration, there are increased levels of two distinct ligands.

This experience is an immersive VR game that illustrates the mechanism of a bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Roche, which has been designed to target and bind to these ligands.

The animated game immerses the user in the VR environment with the use of stunning visuals, allowing them to interact with the antibody and initiate binding with its targets. The aim of the game is to bind the molecules before time runs out.

The interactive gamification VR experience was first used at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) conference and was designed for use with both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
