Hector studied Theoretical Physics at the University of Edinburgh. While there, he first came across biological visualisation and simulation, attempting to create in-silico models for how cells differentiate and self-organise into complex tissue architectures. After University, Hector worked on a legal-tech project to digitise the planning permission pipeline for construction projects and then on a self-build housing system known as Wikihouse. He joined Random42 in December 2021 as a Web Developer.
