Alex completed her BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Surrey, where she also undertook an Industrial year at AstraZeneca in the Cardiovascular Translational Safety team. She went on to study at the Institute of Cancer Research and was awarded a PhD in Cancer Biology. Her research focused on novel therapeutic targets for Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. Following her doctorate, Alex undertook a Postdoctoral Research position at the Blizard Institute, QMUL, investigating drug repurposing for the treatment of Glioblastoma. During her experience in both industry and academia, Alex’s work was featured in scientific publications, and she had the opportunity to present at several conferences. At Random42, Alex is responsible for developing scientific scripts and storyboards across a range of therapeutic areas. Outside of work, she can be found enjoying good food with friends and the latest shows or exhibitions London has to offer.
