BSc 3D Modelling and Animation
Bournemouth University
Rory studied 3D Modelling and Animation at Bournemouth University then left for sunnier shores to work on commercials in Asia as a Digital Compositor. Many street vendor Pad Thais later he was prepared to take on the role of VFX supervisor and during this time he started tinkering with software development to help solve everyday problems that plagued the field. After a short stint as a professional backpacker and a flight across the Pacific, Rory found himself in the US, where he pursued web development in the architectural industry. A few years had passed, and Rory had led web and interactive projects for the likes of Four Seasons, Hudson Yards, the World Trade Center, and Howard Hughes, but it was time for a change. Full of cannoli and fond memories, a cat under his arm, and his life in a suitcase he returned to the British shores in search of a new adventure – as well as decent bacon. This time at Random42 as Lead Web Developer.
