Introducing the newest members of our team…

Ciara Davies – Senior Account Executive

BSc (Hons) Biochemistry – University of Bath

Random42 Ciara Davies

Ciara completed her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry from the University of Bath with a placement year at Bicycle Therapeutics working in their Discovery Team. Since graduating she has worked as a Biochemist at Oxfordshire-based CRO, Arctoris, gaining useful insights into both project management and client engagement. Seeking to develop her skillset, Ciara’s role as a Senior Account Executive at Random42 involves liaising with new and existing clients on a variety of projects for pharmaceutical, devices and diagnostics, consumer health, and animal health companies. Outside work, she enjoys reading, holidays with friends, spending time with family, and the occasional run.

Eva Webb – Junior Project Manager

BSc (Hons) Biology – University of Bath

MSc Biotechnology (Healthcare Technologies) – University of Bath

Random42 Eva Webb

Eva completed her BSc in Biology from the University of Bath, with a placement year at SMBC as a Project Management Office Associate. Continuing her studies in Bath, she pursued an MSc in Biotechnology, where her research investigated the potential role of exosome liquid biopsy for early pancreatic cancer detection. As a Junior Project Manager at Random42, Eva collaborates internally with science and production teams and externally with clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Outside of work, Eva enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling, and exploring London.

Florence Hunter – HR Director

Random42 Florence Hunter

Florence’s career in HR began at the age of 19, stepping directly into the workplace from college. She quickly developed an interest in the mechanics of employment law and how it influences business decisions, people management, and wider company culture. She has led HR teams across various different countries and industries, delivering a broad range of HR strategies around directives including digitalisation, expansion, and diversity. Outside of work, Florence enjoys all forms of storytelling, arts, and culture. She is involved in running her local arts centre and has founded a local networking group for creatives. She loves reading all kinds of books, ballet classes, badminton, and hiking.

Francesca Sanchez – Junior Graphic Designer

Graphics Communication and Illustration – Loughborough University

Random42 Francesca Sanchez

Francesca completed her degree in graphics communication and illustration at Loughborough University. After graduating, she completed a branding internship followed by a junior graphic designer role in the editorial and marketing industry. At Random42, she supports the 2D and Marketing departments. Francesca has a black belt in karate and is a freelance crochet artist. In her free time, she enjoys making costume pieces, photography, and going to the cinema.

Kate Duerden – Scientific Account Executive

MSc Integrated Biochemistry – Kings College London

PhD Cancer Immunology – Kings College London

Random42 Kate Deurden

Kate completed her Integrated Master’s in Biochemistry at King’s College London with a focus on immunology. Following her undergraduate course, she completed her PhD in Cancer Immunology. Her project focused on the metabolism of CAR T-cells with the aim of improving their function for solid tumour treatment. At Random42, Kate is part of the science team, where she writes scripts and develops storyboards for production across a wide range of projects. Outside of work, she enjoys the three R’s – running, reading and relaxing.

Katie Waterworth – Account Executive

BSc (Hons) Human Biology – Loughborough University

Random42 Katie Waterworth

Katie earned her degree in Human Biology from Loughborough University, which included a year in industry at Labcorp Drug Development, where she gained experience in contract management. After graduating, Katie spent a few months travelling before stepping into the medical communications field as a Project Coordinator. As an Account Executive, Katie partners with our parent company, Lockwood, to expand our med comms client base, with a strong emphasis on the biotech sector. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active at the gym and exploring London, her new home, with her friends.

Leszek Domagala – UI/UX Designer

MSc Art Education – University of Silesia

Random42 Leszek Domagala

Leszek completed his art studies at the University of Silesia, earning a Master’s in Art Education. He has gained experience in design from working at various advertising agencies, printing houses, and IT companies in Poland and the UK. At Random42, Leszek is responsible for designing user interfaces to ensure the highest standards of use for the company’s digital products. Outside of work, he enjoys cycling in picturesque natural surroundings and commuting to work by bike. Leszek also has a passion for travelling and loves cats.

Max Ratti – Senior Unity Developer

Computer Science and Engineering – Politecnico di Milano

Random42 Max Ratti

Max studied Computer Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, presumably because “Time-Bending with Code” wasn’t an official degree. He was one of the earliest Unity adopters worldwide, jumping on board back in 2007 when Unity 2.0 had just dropped and most people still thought “real-time 3D” was a fancy way to describe a 3D PowerPoint transition. Since then, Max has worked on many games and everything from desktop to AR, VR, XR, haptic devices, if it’s got a screen (or a headset), he’s built something for it. Over his career of almost two decades in the real-time simulation space, Max has also picked up a few awards… The full list is available for a fiver. When he’s not busy trying to bend reality with code, you’ll find him snowboarding down mountains or cruising on a motorbike because apparently walking just doesn’t quite cut it.

Mitali Reid– Finance Director

Economics & International Development – University of Bath

Random42 Mitali Reid

Mitali graduated in 2015 from the University of Bath with a degree in Economics & International Development. She is qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and has previously worked in finance roles at HSBC and a Fintech scale-up, Thought Machine, most recently as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. At Random42, Mitali is responsible for the Finance function, utilising her experience to oversee the continued growth of the business and work closely with the rest of the leadership team to deliver on its strategic priorities. Outside of work, Mitali enjoys eating out, going to the theatre, travelling and photography.

Octavian Negru – Office Manager

Random42 Octavian Negru

Octavian moved to the UK when he was 17 years old, where he began his career as a bartender. He moved to Spain and worked his way up in a 5-star leisure hotel before coming back to the UK, where he completed a Reception Academy course. This led him to join a top hotel in London, before becoming a manager at a local pub. Octavian has shifted his career and is now the Office Manager here at Random42, where he oversees the facilities and supplies of the building, as well as helping with events and IT.

Olivia Tipping – Account Executive

BSc Neuroscience – University of Leeds

Random42 Olivia Tipping

Olivia graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Neuroscience, where she developed an interest in science communication and public health. After graduating, she worked for 2 years on multiple large-scale health and development initiatives across Africa and Asia. Olivia’s role as an Account Executive at Random42 involves liaising with both new and existing clients from the top 25 global pharmaceutical companies, as well as identifying new projects and opportunities. Outside of work, Olivia enjoys travelling, practising yoga, attending festivals, and spending time with her friends and family.

Sarah Malik– Legal Director

Juris Doctor – Northwestern College of Law, Lewis & Clark (US)

Random42 Sarah Malik

Sarah is a US-qualified lawyer in the State of Oregon, US, and seeking qualification in England and Wales. She began her career as a federal judicial clerk in the District of Oregon (part of the Ninth Circuit), gaining a wide breadth of experience from employment to antitrust cases within the United States. Sarah applied this exposure within the in-house legal sector, working in tech and healthcare. Her most recent role has been as Corporate Counsel to a large non-profit healthcare system, serving the western half of the United States. In this role, she handled a wide range of legal issues, including policy implementation, regulatory and risk compliance, data protection, and contract negotiation. Sarah will oversee and manage all legal matters, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and providing proactive legal guidance to support the company’s objectives.

Sophie Fuller – Account Executive

Sophie graduated from the University of Southampton with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. She particularly enjoyed her bioscience business project, in which she designed a novel treatment for IgA nephropathy. As an Account Executive, Sophie’s role involves liaising with new and existing clientele to bring our clients’ educational solutions to life using scientific storytelling. In her free time, Sophie enjoys travelling, festivals, and exploring new restaurants and bars in London with her friends.

Sophie Hockin – Account Executive

BSc Biological Sciences – University of Liverpool

Sophie graduated from the University of Liverpool, completing a four-year degree in Biological Sciences with a year of industry placement as a Clinical Trial Coordinator at MSD UK and ROI Ltd, escalating her knowledge and passion for life sciences. Her interest in the creative aspects of Biology led her to Random42, where her role involves liaising with new and existing clients on a variety of projects for pharmaceutical companies, as well as devices and diagnostics, consumer health, and animal health. Outside of work, Sophie enjoys travelling, exercising, experiencing all that London has to offer, as well as spending time with friends and family.

Tomi Thomas – HR & Payroll Administrator

BA International Development – University of East Anglia

MSc Human Resource Management – University of East Anglia

Random42 Tomi Thomas

Tomi is the HR & Payroll Administrator at Random42. Having graduated from the University of East Anglia with a BA in International Development with Economics, he then went on to complete an MSc in Human Resource Management. Tomi’s role involves maintaining the internal HR database and managing payroll administration. His previous internship at Random42 prepared him well for this role, equipping him with the skills necessary to efficiently handle HR and payroll tasks. Outside work, Tomi enjoys travelling, watching movies, and playing video games.

Yebin Kim – Midweight Motion Designer

MA Illustration – Kingston University

Random42 Yebin Kim

Yebin is originally from South Korea, where she gained valuable experience working in the beauty and tech industries as a motion designer. In her role at Random42, she creates visually appealing content, including motion graphics, illustration and animation in the 2D department. Outside of work, Yebin enjoys journaling, drawing and spending time with her dog, Cookie, in the park.
