Introducing the newest members of our team…
Louie Henderson – Scientific Account Executive
BSc in Genetics – Queen Mary University of London
MRes in Structural Molecular Biology – Imperial College London
PhD in Cryo-electron Tomography & in silico protein design – Imperial College London

Louie completed his Master’s and PhD at Imperial College London in Structural and Computational Biochemistry. This work focused on developing new methods and studying proteins in situ with Electron Cryo-Tomography. After graduation, he worked as the Structural Biochemistry Lead at a pre-clinical translational biophysics start-up, coding multi-omics intelligence tools. At Random42, Louie supports the science team, writing scripts and developing storyboards for production across various projects. In his free time, he enjoys reading and DIY.
Mariana Zarate Mendez – Scientific Account Executive
BA (Hons) Neuroscience – Northwestern University
PhD Clinical Neurosciences – University of Cambridge

Mariana completed her PhD in Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Cambridge, where her research focused on understanding the drivers of neuronal vulnerability in mitochondrial diseases to identify new therapeutic strategies. Before moving to the UK, Mariana earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Global Health from Northwestern University in the US, where she gained research experience in health policy and stem cell disease modelling. During her PhD, through interactions with patient foundations and families, she saw firsthand the impact of effective scientific communication and the important role it plays in fostering patient agency. As a Scientific Account Executive at Random42, Mariana leverages her scientific expertise to transform complex scientific concepts into accessible and engaging narratives for a wide range of audiences and therapeutic areas. Outside of work, she loves to dance, travel to new places, and read.
Hannah McCorkindale Brown – Account Executive
BSc Anatomical Sciences – University of Manchester
Msc Clinical Neuroscience – University College London

Hannah completed her BSc in Anatomical Sciences at the University of Manchester before earning an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience at the University College London, where she specialized in the pathology, progression, and treatment of neurological diseases. In her role as an Account Executive at Random42, she liaises with both new and existing clients from the top 25 global pharmaceutical companies, as well as identifying new projects and opportunities. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with friends and family, going on dog walks, and staying active.
Zoe Castleden – Project Editorial Executive
BSc in Chemistry and Psychological Science – University of Western Australia

Zoe completed her BSc in Chemistry and Psychological Science at the University of Western Australia, working in science education and outreach before moving to London to pursue an MSc in Science Media Production at Imperial College. After graduation, she worked in the documentary industry on the development of film and television projects. As Project Editorial Executive, Zoe combines a science background with technical know-how to deliver updates, edits, and translations. Outside of work, she enjoys going to concerts, trying new food, and exploring London with her friends.
Ellie Beed – Financial Controller
BSc (Hons) Mathematics – University of Bath
ACA Chartered Accountancy

Ellie completed her degree in Mathematics at the University of Bath, which included a year in industry at PwC working in Audit. As part of that experience, she began her ACA qualification and returned to PwC after university to complete her qualification as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. She then moved into industry as a Finance Manager. As Financial Controller at Random42, Ellie is responsible for the financial reporting, process, and controls in the finance team. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new classes at the gym, painting, and musical theatre.
Isaac Odoi – Commercial Finance Analyst
BA in Financial Economics and Accounting – University of Essex
MA in Economics – University of Essex

Isaac completed his Bachelor’s in Financial Economics and Accounting from the University of Essex. Continuing his studies in Essex, he pursued an MA in Economics with research work completed on the relationship between the national living wage, employment, and labour mobility. After graduating, he worked within medical comms at Apothecom as a Financial analyst. At Random42 Isaac’s role as a Commercial Finance Analyst involves revenue and margin control processes, departmental budget queries, and Ad-hoc client queries. Outside of work, Isaac is a huge sports fan and loves all things F1, fast cars (anything with 2 or 4 wheels that goes fast!), and football. He also loves food, travelling, the gym, and has recently started training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
