Introducing the newest members of our team…
Maria Bragina – Junior Project Manager
BSc Natural Sciences in Chemistry and Biology – Durham University

Maria graduated from Durham University with a Joint Honours Degree in Biology and Chemistry. Alongside her studies, she mentored students of all ages in STEM subjects, honing her ability to communicate complex scientific concepts. As a Junior Project Manager at Random42, Maria oversees projects from inception to completion, coordinating between internal production teams and external clients to ensure seamless delivery. Outside of work, Maria is an avid adventurer with a passion for the outdoors; she thrives on a challenge, whether it’s mountain trekking or competitive sports.
Ioanna Kontra – Scientific Account Executive
BSc in Biochemistry – University of Surrey
PhD Molecular Biology and Immunology – Queen Mary University of London

Ioanna earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Surrey. During her time as an undergraduate, she spent a year at GSK working in Structural and Biophysical Sciences, where she got hands-on experience with X-ray crystallography. She subsequently completed her PhD at Queen Mary University of London, with a focus on how ubiquitin ligases modulate antiviral signalling in mammalian cells. As a Scientific Account Executive, Ioanna is part of the science team, supporting and managing projects by writing scripts and putting together storyboards. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, watching anime, and spending time with her cat Mochi.
Chloe McMillan – Account Executive
BSc Biomedicine – University of East Anglia

Chloe graduated with a degree in Biomedicine from the University of East Anglia, where she completed her dissertation on the significance of P2X receptor presence in dorsal root ganglia to determine their relevance as a therapeutic target in pain states. Before joining Random42, Chloe completed an internship with a start-up pharmaceutical company, completing market research on potential drug candidates and gaining important insight into the industry. Her role as an Account Executive at Random42 involves liaising with new and existing clients from the top 25 global pharmaceutical companies, as well as recognising new and exciting opportunities. Outside of work, Chloe enjoys running, travelling, and spending time with friends and family.
Emilia Simmons – Account Executive
BSc (Hons) Natural Sciences – University of Exeter

Emilia graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Natural Sciences, focusing on pharmaceutical and medical sciences. As an Account Executive, Emilia’s role involves liaising with new and existing clients from the top 25 global pharmaceutical companies, as well as identifying new projects and opportunities. In her free time, Emilia enjoys travelling, snowboarding, and trying new restaurants around London with friends.
Lexie Fletcher – Account Executive
BSc Biological Sciences – University of Exeter

Lexie graduated from the University of Exeter, where she completed a degree in Biological Sciences. Lexie’s dissertation focused on investigating whether diet-mediated changes in gut microbiota play a role in reducing the severity of Major Depressive Disorder. At Random42, her role involves liaising with new and existing clients on a variety of projects for pharmaceutical companies, as well as devices and diagnostics, consumer health, and animal health. Outside of work, Lexie enjoys going on holidays, days/nights out in London, staying active at the gym, as well as spending time with friends and family.
Maya Frost – Account Executive
BSc (Hons) Natural Sciences (Biology with Pharmacology) – University of Bath

Maya graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in Natural Sciences, which included an industrial placement year at L’Oréal UK, where she gained valuable commercial experience. After graduating, she joined Sanofi, where she supported the Sales and Marketing teams within the immunology franchise, gaining valuable insight into medical communication strategy. Her passion for creative scientific storytelling and her desire to contribute across multiple areas of science led her to join Random42. As an Account Executive, Maya’s role involves identifying new opportunities and nurturing strong relationships with our agencies and partners. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, discovering new music, and spending time with friends and family.
Molly Smith – Account Executive
BSc Biological Sciences – University of Exeter

Molly graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Biological Sciences, where she developed a strong interest in science communication and animal biology. During her studies, she conducted a research project that led to a summer internship focused on laboratory and data analysis work. As an Account Executive at Random42, Molly works with a range of biotech clients, maintaining strong relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, cooking, travelling, and going to new West End shows.
Katie Hy – Marketing Executive
MBiol Biosciences – Durham University

Katie graduated from Durham University with a Master of Biology and has since stepped into the world of marketing. Before joining Random42, Katie worked as a Content Marketing Executive for a media services provider, where she honed her skills in content creation and campaign strategy. Katie now brings this experience to her current role, supporting the marketing team across a range of projects. Outside of work, Katie likes to go to the gym, bake, and read.
