Dicerna Pharmaceuticals’ platform technology utilizes a naturally occurring biologic process, ribonucleic acid interference (RNAi), to develop therapies that aim to silence disease-causing genes. The technology identifies and develops molecules designed to interfere with RNAi processes, which are implicated in defective or mis regulated proteins that are thought to cause or contribute to disease in various therapeutic areas.

Using striking 3D visuals, the animation explains how this platform is designed to work in the liver, aiming to utilize the patient’s own cellular mechanisms to potentially silence disease-causing genes.
This platform animation was targeted at healthcare professionals (HCPs) and investors, with the aim of explaining clearly and concisely how the technology is intended to work, and with a focus on its safety profile. Housed on the Dicerna website, the full animation was embedded on the ‘our-galxc-technology’ page, where animation assets were repurposed into a short, looping clip.
